Anya is a Colorado native, and like most Centennial State natives, is perhaps a little too proud of that fact (Except not really. Colorado forever.). After graduating from CU-Boulder with a degree in journalism in 2008, she worked for The Denver Post newspaper as a photographer until 2016, when she made the leap into full-time small business ownership to focus on running the photography business she had started years earlier with her husband, Dan. At about the same time, Anya and Dan started attending Our Lady of Lourdes as parishioners, and Anya became more involved with the Church, and joined music ministry as a cantor and 8:45 AM Mass choir member, and later volunteered to host an ENDOW women’s small group and help coordinate women’s ministry for the parish. Anya is a big-time book nerd, loves hiking, exploring the mountains in her Tacoma pickup truck, coffee, roadtrips (and frankly, travel of any kind), all the dogs, coffee again for good measure, and delving into sacred scripture. She is thrilled to join the Lourdes staff as the ministry and stewardship coordinator and serve this growing and vibrant community.
