75th Anniversary Jubilee Celebration

Our Lady of Lourdes 75th Anniversary Jubilee Celebration, 6 PM, June 28, 2022

Lourdes Parishioners! You are invited to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the founding of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church!

Lourdes 75th Anniversary Jubilee Celebration | June 28, 2022 | Mass, 6 PM

In celebration of the foundation of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church here in Denver, we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a parishioner-only, authentically French-themed event on the evening of June 28, 2022. Join us for Mass at 6 PM (the church will be opened at 5 PM), followed by a beautiful, chef-catered, French dinner, complete with French wine, beer, and sparkling water, and a host of events by the grotto. Thank you for enabling us to host the relics of one of our favorite saints! We are thrilled to celebrate the magnitude of this honor alongside our 75th anniversary with a series of events and a delectable dinner. We are tremendously grateful for any help you can provide to offset these costs.  Donate here! Also, Please R.S.V.P. by June 21 to help us with accurate food and beverage provisions. Thank you!

Since this is a special time for our parish and its founding, and we will be visited by many who seek the closeness of Saint Bernadette during her visit, we ask that the Jubilee Celebration be reserved for our parishioners beginning at 5 PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. However, we do hope you are able to join us for our various St. Bernadette Relics events leading up to this point, which are open to the public. Learn more, here! And, thank you for understanding.

An Overview of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, located in southeast Denver, Colorado, was originally dedicated in 1947, after its formation in an excavated basement. The subterranean church resided there for a decade before the construction of the structure that exists, today. It consisted of only a few members—many of whom had just returned from service during WWII.  A group of men, nicknamed The Rocks of Lourdes, formed and constructed the beautiful grotto (inspired by the one in Lourdes, France) that stands in our courtyard. Our Lady of Lourdes, our patroness, has carried this parish steadfastly through the years. Decades later, our parish consists of more than 1,200 members, spanning all ages, and was rededicated after a year of major renovations in August of 2019. We look forward to welcoming our visitors! May God bless you all, abundantly.
